Coping with Stress & Anxiety
We are not meant to go through this life alone. Not only is group therapy a great way to connect with others in a safe, supportive environment, it is also an efficient way to begin your healing journey.
If you are feeling burdened by stress and anxiety. You will learn evidenced-based practical coping skills pulled from theories including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This group will also have a focus of somatic and mindfulness interventions, specific to regulating stress and anxiety.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy- a type of evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and reduce self-harm and suicidal behaviors.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy- a type of psychotherapy that helps people accept their thoughts and feelings, and commit to actions that align with their values. ACT can help with a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
Somatic Focused Therapy- a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the body and its sensations as a means of addressing mental and emotional health issues. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of mind and body and aims to help individuals release stress, trauma, and other negative experiences stored in the body.
Mindfulness- a type of therapy that helps individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and surroundings by cultivating present-moment awareness, without judgment, to improve mental well-being.
