The Therapy Experience
Amanda’s approach to therapy is direct and compassionate. She believes that healing through therapy takes place within the context of a healthy, therapeutic relationship based on trust and understanding. This therapy journey is yours, but Amanda wants to be able to walk the journey with you to provide coaching, support, and encouragement along the way.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an innovative therapeutic approach that can provide results more quickly than standard talk therapy. It can be helpful to resolve past emotional trauma or even to reduce negative thoughts that may be causing a person to struggle. Amanda has helped numerous clients to improve their quality of life through EMDR.
Relationship Healing
Relationship counseling is not just for couples with extreme problems, conflicts, or issues. There are times when even the healthiest and happiest of us need a little assistance to navigate through life. When we are one half of a couple in a committed relationship, sometimes there are ups and downs. Although it is completely expected and normal to experience these challenges and difficulties, at times, they can seem particularly magnified. This is when couples counseling can help.
Couples counseling is a form of psychotherapy or counseling designed to help partners recognize and resolve any form of conflict or challenges that may weigh on their relationship. It has the capacity to resolve new conflicts, as well as deep-rooted, long-standing ones.
